When are games, and how long is the season?

Games are played primarily on Saturdays. One registration covers both the fall and spring seasons with a winter break in between — same team, same coach, same uniform. Fall runs from late August (right after school starts) through mid-October (7 games). Spring runs mid-March through mid-May, ending before school lets out (7 games).

Where are games played?

It depends on the league you choose at registration. North Ogden League games are played in the North Ogden and Pleasant View area; Farr West League games are played in the Farr West area. Older groups (U13+) may play games in both areas.

Is there a residency requirement?

No — SWAT Recreation is open to all players, regardless of home address.

What does the registration fee include?

7 fall games + 7 spring games and a full uniform kit (jersey, shorts, socks). Shin guards are required for all players and must be supplied by the player — SWAT does not provide them.

When does registration close? Is there a late fee?

There is no firm cutoff — age groups stay open until they fill, but never close earlier than July 1. A $10 late fee applies to registrations from July 1 onward, so register early.

Can my child play with a friend or a specific coach?

Yes — use the Buddy/Coach Request Box during registration. You can request a buddy or a coach — not both. A buddy must be in the same league (Farr West or North Ogden) and must request you back. The cutoff for requests is June 15.

When will we hear about teams and schedules?

Team assignments (coach and roster) are emailed approximately 2–3 weeks before the season. Schedules are posted online about 10 days before the season, and you'll get an email notification as soon as they're live. Uniforms are distributed by coaches 1–2 weeks before the season.

When and where are team practices?

Practice location, times, and frequency are set by your team's coach and communicated closer to the start of the season.

Are any age groups co-ed?

Yes — U15 and older play in a combined, co-ed league.

How do jersey sizes work?

The jersey size you order is the shorts size you'll receive. Youth sizes: XS (4/5), S (6/8), M (10/12), L (14/16). Adult sizes S–XXL. A detailed jersey-size reference is available on utahyouthsoccer.net.

How can I volunteer as a coach?

Check the volunteer-as-coach box when registering your player, then email swatrecreation@gmail.com for details. Coach registration opens June 1.
